The Cartomancy Candle

CAD $65.00

I have been planning and plotting this magical 90’s lisa frank inspired candle since March of 2020 but alas covid hit and I was forever waiting on components for it. It is now here! In the flesh! Or I should say in the SOY!

This magical candle was hand poured by your Witch with my usual whispered spells and prayers but is something extra special… For it features a random Major Arcana Tarot Pendant hidden within its soy depths.

Nestled in this beautiful candle is one random tarot card pendant. A one card pull if you will, telling you where or what you need in your life. All you need to do is light the candle and watch for your magical little packet to appear. Once you see it pull it out and find out which Major Arcana Card Pendant chose you.

In occult practices, the Major Arcana are the trump cards of a tarot pack, and there are 22 such cards in a standard 78-card pack. Each Major Arcanum depicts a scene, mostly featuring a person or several people, with many symbolic elements. Every tarot deck is different and carries a different connotation with the art, however most symbolism remains the same.

Tarot is a system of divination, using a specific set of cards (Tarot cards), while Cartomancy is a more generic term meaning any divination method using cards, whether special ones designed for divination (be they Tarot cards or any other sort) or just playing cards. As with any system of divination or scrying, the ability or magic is in the reader, not in the cards — the cards are purely a tool to help the reader ‘focus’ their ability. – Excerpt from a presentation of Tarot and Cartomancy in June 2016

Never leave burning candles unattended. I was so excited to make these that I may have overdone the zhuzh abit. Please pick off a bit of the baby’s breath before you light this crazy bitch up.

You will receive one random candle in white, pink, blue, or purple with 1 of 22 major card pendants encased inside. Which one will pick you?
