The Roman Empire is recognized for having built a great civilization, with renowned artistic and technological achievements. These glass shards have been recovered across domestic, industrial and funerary contexts and had begun life as vases, water jugs, or temple vessels.

They belonged to someone or some place, and were used and treasured. Genuine history and unique stories behind each piece, the fragments still bear the marks of their former lives but also have been transformed by the very earth in which they slumbered.
