2023 Solar Return / Dark Forest Fruit Oil: Representing places of unknown, situations of liminality, wisdom & transformation. The quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the middle stage of a rite of passage, when participants no longer hold their pre-ritual status but have not yet begun the transition to the status they will hold when the rite is complete. During a rite’s liminal stage, participants “stand at the threshold” between their previous way of structuring their identity, time, or community, and a new way (which completing the rite establishes). The forest can feature as a place of liminality, threatening danger, or one of refuge, or a chance at adventure. Filled with berries & fruit that could be either dangerous or delicious. Rose Hip Seed: These fruits were wild crafted in Alberta, Canada by yours truly, from one of my forest walks. Used in healing spells & mixtures, brings good luck, & calls in good spirits. Rosehips are a wonderful botanical to use for love and peace. This magical little hip can be crushed and the seeds planted to grow your own magical wild rose ally. You can also place the rose hip in your home to bring back harmony & peace if there has been a great deal of disharmony or upheaval.
