Originally holding a bottle of Rodnik vodka these vintage dolls were made in Russia and are huge! This impressive piece stands 10.5″ tall, and 4″ across at the widest part. It is completely hand-painted balsa wood, and open to reveal a cavity that is perfect for gifting or storing a small bottle or SPELLS!. The Rodnik vodka distillery is in Samara, Russia, and has been in production since 1895.
This marvelous toy should be considered a cult object for it’s specific construction and design perfect for concealing spells and secrets. Traditionally carved from Birch wood which is sacred, it is believed to drive off evil spirits, the evil eye, & offer protection. It’s many layers would be perfect for any sort of Rite of Passage or transformation of self spellwork.
Place on your altar to contain incantations, spells and rituals. It can be hidden in plain sight.
