Mara Cedar Amulet & Incense Offering

Description

The goddess Mara, sometimes ‘Marzanna’, in Slavic Paganism represents the death and rebirth of nature, particularly the end of winter and the beginning of spring. She is the goddess of death, rebirth, rural places and young plants. In some cultures, an effigy of Mara is ‘drowned’ (sometimes burned) to more quickly bring about the end of winter and the beginning of spring.

This cedar sphere was ritually created with whispered spells and prayers, wood burned, and lays nested in a sacred herbal mix that you may also use as incense. Smoke your cedar amulet with the accompanying incense and keep close to aid you in connecting with ancestors, protection, & bringing about a good harvest in 2022. You may also leave it as is in the bag and enjoy its forest scents. If you so wish you may burn your amulet in March to bring about the end of winter.
