Acorn Reliquary Spell Nut

This magical hand carved wooden acorn has a secret! It’s cute little hat unscrews to reveal a magical little hidden chamber. You can use it to hold a pinch of herbs, ashes, whispers, spells, prayers, petitions or whatever else you wish.

A reliquary is a container for relics. A portable reliquary may be called a fereter, and a chapel in which it is housed a feretory. Relics may be the purported or actual physical remains of saints, such as bones, pieces of clothing, or some object associated with saints or other religious figures. The authenticity of any given relic is often a matter of debate; it is for that reason, some churches require documentation of the relic’s provenance.

Oak is known as the “King of the Grove”; a holy tree; the lord of truth and is one of the three sacred trees “Oak, Ash & Thorn”. Worship of the Oak may stem from the early nomadic Europeans using acorns for food. The acorn is seen as the representation of the supreme form of fertility and creativity of the mind; as such, they are used to increase fertility of both projects and ideas and human reproduction, and also ease pain.
